Very interactive as my husband KEV was made to be the star of the show!
The team were fantastic, the food was good and the drinks were very reasonably priced. Already looking at booking a return.

Our faces hurt from smiling and laughing so much.

Last night’s dark comedy performance at the Soho venue was nothing short of electrifying. The intimate setting created the perfect atmosphere for an evening filled with biting wit, sharp satire, and bold, unpredictable humor. The show fearlessly dove into taboo subjects, delivering laugh-out-loud moments that teetered on the edge of discomfort, but that’s exactly what made it brilliant.

The performers had an impeccable sense of timing, and their ability to balance humor with darker undertones was masterful. Each punchline hit hard, while the moments of vulnerability added depth to the performance, reminding the audience of the complexity beneath the jokes. The script was razor-sharp, with clever twists that kept the crowd on their toes, while the physical comedy was executed with an intensity that had everyone in stitches.

What stood out most was the way the show engaged the audience—at times it felt as though the fourth wall was nonexistent, and the performers were daring us to confront the absurdity of life right alongside them. This dark comedy wasn’t afraid to challenge societal norms, forcing us to laugh at things we’d normally shy away from, and it worked in every way.

This was my second bout of laugher , saw Michael and other comedians a few weeks ago on the battersea barge, Michael did not disappoint,I now call it the Michael Rum monkey comedy show, he is amazing, the other acts were also funny, deffo recommend it,if want an evening of laughter come and see this show

My friend and I had got these tickets for sangria and paella and had actually forgotten about the comedy part until we got there. Everything about it was great fun, a real mix of ages and different comedians. We actually spoke to the funniest one on our way in, he heard my Northern accent and commented on it as all Northerners in the South seem to. He was absolutely hilarious and we both laughed throughout. He was even completely unfazed by the fact that were were pestering him about how to get our paella on the way in. Great fun, great value. Definitely worth a visit.

A small intimate venue with cracking comedians and outstanding value for money! The host was hilarious as well as the 4 acts we were treated to. A brilliant comedy show for those who embrace jokes that aren't remotely politically correct! Will be back for sure.

The Rum Monkey is at Soho Central Comedy club located in the basement of Jamon Jamon the Spanish tapas bar at 3 Caxton Walk off Charing Cross Road. Go inside and downstairs into a small and intimate venue and then the fun begins. When I went there were 5 acts on the night introduced by a relaxed compere. This is small and intimate, you are right in the thick of the laughs. And there were a lot of laughs! Be prepared to be picked on by the comedians, it's all part of the act. Brilliant night, crying with laughter. The headline act Michael was the best right at the end with a longer time slot. You can buy drinks at the venue, there are toilets and the staff are friendly. It's very good. Recommended!

Hilarious!!!! Fun night out with Huddy. Great for 1st time dates. Micheal was a great host. Act were great. Venue close to Tottenham Court Road. Sangria was amazing.

Superb! Very funny from start to finish and Michael is just brilliant! Definitely recommend for those who don't take life too seriously. Great way to start the year! Thank you - we will be back for sure!
