This local, family- and woman-owned art studio is my go-to recommendation for folks visiting me in Northeast Ohio! The TDBA artists are always so helpful and knowledgeable, and the options are fantastic for whatever mood you may be in: throwing clay, painting a wide selection of pottery pieces, canvas painting, paper crafting, and more. All for reasonable prices that support a great small business.

Really a fantastic new store! In the same location as the former pottery painting place (BDE) that we enjoyed many Sundays and birthday parties, this updated store is beautifully remodeled and updated, to include new features such as pottery wheels and lessons, and clay sculpting! They also make all their own pieces, enabling a much more diverse selection than available at more traditional establishments!

The staff is also phenomenal, gentle, kind and above all helpful.

Highly recommend for a relaxing afternoon/evening or your birthday party needs for all ages!

This place is amazing! The staff is encouraging and so kind! They have a huge selection of ceramics to choose from and a great selection of colors! The space is always clean and comfortable with plenty of room to get creative! We have been there many times and we will be back many more!

We had 6 in our group. Renee and Alexis were so patient assisting us. They give detailed instructions and help, but not so much that’s it’s not your own creation. Amazing how 6 bowls can turn out so differently! Can’t wait to paint them. It was such a fun experience!

Highly recommended! A couple of weekends ago, we were looking for a fun activity to do together as a family! With the weather getting chilly, it needed to be an indoor activity. In that search, we found The Drawing Board, a pottery and art studio.
The place is spacious & very well designed, and immediately sets a tone of tranquility. Our kids of 11, 10 and 8 had a blast working with the pottery wheel. My wife and her friend also joined in the fun of working the pottery wheel.

It was fun watching them learning to be patient, delicate with their hands as they worked with the clay. The instructor (Renee) & the staff were extremely patient and helpful answering the innumerable number of questions from the kids, while also helping them achieve a good shape to their clay mold. everyone got to make 2 builds, and then decide which ones they wanted to keep.

We went back the next week, to color the bowls, and again the staff was extremely patient and helpful! Once the coloring was done, the bowls were sent to get fired, and buy they turned out to be excellent!

In summary, we loooved this place and highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a family activity and a relaxing experience!
