guy working on Thanksgiving needs to get his attitude checked. Silly little boy blew me kisses as I’m walking out 😂and started to act hard and all gangsta when I inquired about a day pass after not being at the facility since the new ownership. Told him I used to work at Retro before the new Indian owner took it over. Only if the owner was there everything would have been fine. Guy was acting like he’s the gatekeeper to the White House 😂 Silly boy.. it’s Thanksgiving and if you were a semi decent human being you’d let someone workout when the gym is open for 55 minutes more and not make it your priority to find a way to charge them $10. Retro fitness still seems to be the same unfriendly unwelcoming spot it always was. Owner if you’re reading this let me know your name and number. A lot of these 5 star reviews on the Google page was because I was one of the best trainers at that gym. Rest in Peace Lori, we still all miss you. Avoid this gym, try Crunch near Home Depot instead. Or jersey strong down 130 that’s open 24 hours

Buyer beware! I recently got a message from LifeLock that there was a credit collection against me from ABC. Apparently I did not cancel my membership correctly. Now in the middle of trying to buy a new home, Retro has sent my account into collections over $106 in monthly fees. My fault…. I should have cancelled correctly, I get it. Here’s the part that burns me. During Covid when all the gyms were closing I “paused” my membership. I didn’t want to stop working out so I spent thousands of dollars building a home gym. Once things opened up again, I started my membership up again…. and never went! So for approximately 12-16 months, Retro in East Windsor was collecting my monthly fees, and I never used the gym. I justified in my head that it was okay because they suffered being closed for Covid, and maybe they needed a little concession. Now I feel like an A__. I just went online and paid my past due bill. And will attempt to get them to call off First Credit Collection. Make sure that if you decide to stop going, cancel the right way! 😩

NJ state law states that members of any gym can cancel online, email or over the phone. While the ownership of this establishment requires a signature to cancel, there is no process in place to cancel online with a signature; at least not a process that the front desk can point me to when i called. This is against the law and I will be reporting them to appropriate state authorities so future members can cancel online as per the law.

Retro Fitness is my 2nd home and gym community. I have attended gyms for many years and have found this gym to be the most friendly and welcoming. I moved to the area 3 years ago. From the first time I came in, the staff, instructors and personal trainers were so welcoming and strive to create a fun and challenging environment. The classes here are varied; there is something for everyone. The weights and equipment are in good shape and are replaced when needed. You can even work with a personal trainer and get tasty shakes after your workout. They have all you need to get a great workout. I have would highly recommend it.

Homely gym with a welcome vibe- definitely makes you feel like you’re part of a community! Been taking group classes here for over 3 years- the instructors, trainers and fellow members are super nice. Plenty of circuit equipment to get a full body workout. Lots of great group classes too! Definitely recommend!

I frequent this gym 5 days a week. Gym is very nasty, smelly and the equipment is old, broken and falling apart. I’ve mentioned Multiple things that need to be fixed. Months later they are still the same.

One of the trainers is extremely egotistical and arrogant. (We all know who it is).

Rest of the staff is amazing…

Will be switching soon.
