I love Nova so freaking much. Nova has saved my life in more ways than one. I was hopeless and had no solution suffering from this disease. The staff there never gave up on me. I was the worst client and they loved me until I could love myself. Ryan, Jacqui and Cathy are literally the best mentors anyone could ask for. I'm over 10 months sober now, has a spiritual experience found God, repaired my relationships and am now in a place where I can be of service to other addicts and alcoholics. I'm forever grateful for the unconditional love compassion and accountability that was given to me there. Plus all the trauma work I did around PTSD and a mood disorder. 20 out of 10 recommended. Life is so worth living now. Below is the life Nova and God has given me

I went to Nova almost 9 months ago and I wouldn’t change it for the world. The staff when I first entered were very nice and welcoming. As a 19 year old that didn’t know what I was getting myself into they welcomed me with open arms. All the RA’s care about you and want you to succeed. Now when it comes to the recovery specialist, they all know what they are talking about. All of them work a very strong 12 step program and go through the steps with you. Having individual meetings with your RS really helped me understand the steps and what I need to do to stay sober. I thank Nova for saving my life and showing me a new way to live.

Nova Recovery Center has been an invaluable part of my journey to sobriety. The intensive inpatient program, coupled with the unwavering support and guidance from my recovery specialist, Mark Rector, has been nothing short of life-changing. Celebrating five years of sobriety since December 1st, 2018, fills me with profound gratitude. Nova’s program was more than just a treatment; it was a beacon of hope that guided me towards a brighter, healthier future.

Nova is an amazing place for people who really want to recover from a hopeless state of mind and body. What I loved about my experience there was how much I learned, and the tools that I had when I left there. Treatment for me was never the sole solution, but what it did was provide me with an atmosphere for healing, and the tools to maintain sobriety. Ryan R. was my recovery specialist and I couldn’t have asked for a better person to help guide me through the steps of recovery. The knowledge of the staff and their ability to do what’s best for their clients (not always what the client thinks is best) is something which I admire. So many places want to sugar coat a life and death situation, which Nova does not.
While a lot of treatment facilities focus on the amenities to bring people in, Nova focused on the ultimate goal, learning the solution for addiction.
The place feels like a mini college campus in a very beautiful place. They plug you in to the recovery community through out your stay to help guide you once you leave. I recommend this place to family and friends who are looking for a place.

It's been a few years since I was a patient at Nova Recovery Center. Recently I have been reflecting on my time there and how incredibly grateful I am for the experience I had. I have been to 7 rehab facilities and Nova it always my recommendation for anyone seeking treatment. The staff were some of the most knowledgeable individuals I have come across. One particular individual Mark R. Helped me understand my disease and my real problem with life. If you have any interest in seeking treatment, Nova is the place to go. 100% God Bless Texas and Nova Recovery Center

I really needed some accountability and to be around other sober people after a relapse on alcohol in August. I signed up for the online IOP service and my counselor was Jasmine. She was amazing. I found myself looking forward to group everyday and felt a great relief of wanting to use after group. It helped me stay sober and maintain abstinence from alcohol I am truly grateful for the program. Jasmine is amazing and I consider her a good friend at this point she was able to talk me out of using my stinking thinking a lot of times and evaluate my situations from another perspective, which helped me get away from the parts of me that contribute to relapse.

Long story short, 35 years of hard drinking landed me in a ditch in a city I'm not even from. But I thank GOD every day for it! My desperation for change got me to Briarwood detox center. I was so scared but I was unusually willing to do anything, the night before waking up in that ditch I was contemplating suicide, again. For so many years I watched my life fall apart time and time again, over and over. I really never understood why I was unable to control my drinking. Leaving Briarwood and while being transported to Nova recovery center I didn't know what to expect but my anger and anxiety were already building. I still can't get over how amazing Nova looks, it pretty much relaxes you the minute you arrive! I had never been to "rehab" before so I was blown away by the beauty of the amenities and the attentive staff. So with that said, I was sweet and grateful to be there for about 48 hours and then I started being the walking talking character defect stage character I was, telling everyone how they should do their jobs and finding things, if not inventing things to complain about. I still get embarrassed sometimes of my actions and comments I made the first weeks of my stay. But what stands out is how the staff didn't even blink! I never got the reaction I would of deserved! I was loved on! I was given understanding and compassion! They treated me like the sick person who needed help, that I was! They dug in and held me accountable with truth and what I referrer to as grace. The Recovery specialist who work with us, for us and teach us vital solutions to my disease of alcoholism that I will be forever grateful for. From the frequent individual counseling sessions to the daily group counseling classes to the, "hey I need to talk!", I received an understanding of how to maintain my life of sobriety! Nova is a very important and special place to me so I could really go on and on but the main point I want to testify about is this, I'm truly a better person today because of the dedication to helping people by the Nova recovery family!

Sincerely,
Dustin❤️

I attended arrived at Nova 6 years ago today. I am still sober and have a life beyond my wildest dreams. Nova and the staff changed my life and helped me build a solid foundation based on the 12 steps of AA with a strong focus on mental health and healing. 90 days of in-treatment is the way to go if you want to change your life…
