Es bueno el programa pero son demasiado estrictos, tienes que sacarlos hasta las 6:00 en verano y si es antes hay que firmar y si acumulas varias te sacan al niño del programa, es pesado para los niños y para uno de padre también

This is by far the worst after school program around!!! I can't even concentrate at work knowing my kids come home completely changed! always jealous of the YS kids and they let them be bullied and have no care whatsoever how the kids are treated at all!!! They set timers over and over and make them sit for 20 minutes not even allowed to make a sound!!! they are bored out of their mind and coming home crying almost everyday! I am so done with this program it's not even funny! I am literally worried about my kids mental health after attending here and I can't wait to get them signed up for something else!

After School Program May NOT HELP families, it's Mandatory to have children in the program from 2 to 6pm. They don't allow early pick and as a result working families have no time to bond. What time will parents get home, have a cook warm meal for dinner, complete H.W and spend time with the children. The after school program should Welcome families to pick up children at every half hour, after 3 or 4pm.

Understaffed, overwhelmed and dismiss kids who experience difficulty. Take zero accountability for their lack of effort and suspend systematically any child who steps out of line even on a minimal
Scale, forcing parents to risk their jobs and livelihoods, which is the only reason why they even exist, to help parents work and provide income for their families. When discussing alternative solutions their answer is to say that this program is a privilege. Seeing that it is funded with literal parental tax payer money, I Beg to disagree. Since it is part of lausd it seems that they are in violation of senate bill 419 which bans suspension of children grades K to 3. I am not the only parent experiencing this problem. My one kid with special needs mostly defends himself while the other comes home crying almost every day. Major improvement is urgent and necessary.

I think LAs Best needs to train and monitor their workers I don’t think most of them are fit to work with children and if something happens to your child while in the program they need to notify parents ASAP like being bullied by other kids! It might not mean anything to them but it does to us as parents! My child was super excited to be in the program it was all a disappointment to her and myself.. staff really disappointed me, incredibly rude and ghetto

I attend la’s best I think the staff are to Strick and they only do it for the money one of the coaches yelled at me because I had my phone out trying to learn Russian. The same coach yelled at a kid because they took out there water bottle and started drinking it ( we were outside when the sun was hot). It may seem like just this coach is being mean but basically all the coaches but one or just yells at us for the smallest things while they are just on there phone the majority of the time you can tell they just do it for the money and not for the kids. I am a kid at la’s best I am just writing my experience here because most kids don’t speak out to there parents about this stuff.

Not a great program for kids. The staff members were extremely rude and don't actually care for the children, its like they only do this for the money and to yell at kids. There was maybe 1 or 2 people that were actually good to the kids but everyone else needs to be removed or move on

They are not fit or properly trained to deal with children of different kinds of needs. Some teachers single out kids with behavior issues.
