I stopped here on my way to Chicago. I ate some chilaquiles, the taste was good. However, the service was very poor. Also, the fact that the restaurant shares the space with other businesses, I didn't like that. Something you'll notice when you open the door, the whole dining room smells like tacos, gorditas, chilaquiles. They need to get a better cooker hood filter. I went home, and my jacket smelled like tacos. I don't know if I'll go back.

I recently visited La Jefa Mexicana and had a fantastic experience. The restaurant is very charming, with vivid murals and art on the walls that add to the vibrant atmosphere. The staff were very nice, and we didn't have to wait to get seated. The menu offered great choices, and the updated decor was a nice touch. Our food came out quickly and was served hot. We tried the Birria tacos, asada street tacos, and smokehouse tacos, and all of them were delicious. Highly recommend!

This was the best Mexican food I've had in a long time. There was no waiting, and the young man who took care of us was extremely attentive, ensuring we were taken care of. The place had a home cooked feeling and taste. I felt welcomed, not just because I was a paying customer but because they showed a family feel to everyone that was there.

Ok ladies and gents, this is a new restaurant here but we have a few goods and bads... Bads- got there at 1:15 pm. Two waitresses at the bar on their phones. Had to ask to place my order. Order placed and had to wait over 20mins. As the girls played on their phones, with tables a mess and food on the front bar, and floors dirty. 2 tables were there. And not once did I see a waitress ask if they needed anything. $8 for a "large" caso. Which was only 4 Oz. Not one employee asked if I wanted a beverage, yes I would of paid. Need work on customer relation skills and keeping the place clean! Food though was the bomb! Even tho I wasn't told my chicken would have jalapeños in it..... maybe a spice indicator or to let people know it's a bit spicy! Js. Oh an becareful of the first step into the place. Yes it is bright yellow but make sure you look down. Some improvements needed at this location. And some manners would make it more enjoyable as well. Oh yea, PUT UP THE DAMN PHONES LADIES! You're there to do a job not specialize on your phones. Put them away. Well, well.... My husband and I went one more time to see if some issues were delt with. And I must say, this lady is NOW Truly impressed! All floors were clean! One lady behind the bar doing her work and waited on us. Her service was EXCELLENT! We were even offered a drink this time while we waited on our food!! Yup must improved and excellent food again!! Oh yes, the portions now are correct. . . Thank you for listening and doing a fantastic job now!!! Oh can ya get Coors original in? Just a thought.

Worst experience ever! Wednesday 12/18/2024
Was sat down at a table with silverware and a menu. After that, nothing!!! For 15 minutes, staff would go back and forth past me and not stop to take any type of order. Watched a party of 4 get seated two tables away and instantly get served chips and salsa as well as take their drink order. Another person was sat down as well.

If you don't want my business, just tell me that before sitting me at a table.

I just got up and left. No one said a word. That's pretty sad, since they were not very busy at all.
