Brand new giant Golf Galaxy in our neighborhood so I figured I would help keep brick and mortar retail in business a little while longer. Need some new Foot Joy golf shoes and went in to the Sports Arena Blvd location last Monday afternoon and was impressed with how big and clean the store is. No greeting whatsoever. Walked to the golf shoes , tried on 3 pair, took shoes off the display to make a pair etc. Still zero interaction with employees or sight of one honestly. Left the store to some research online and figure out what I actually wanted. Never spoke to a Golf Galaxy employee the whole 20 minutes I was there. I decided on a pair of Tour Alpha's and decided to pop in to Dick's because they are right next door to Golf Galaxy and owned by same people. Same service level at Dick's dude in golf dept was yawning in his chair as i pulled upart boxes to even find a pair of Tour Alpha's. Zero service. Still undeterred I walked back in to Golf Galaxy. 2 employees at front chatting away, let me walk right past them, no "are you looking for something" nada. I go to the shoes again and take the display off again and try them on. I decide screw it I need them I will just buy them. I literally had to interrupt their conversation to get someone to the register. The cashier was nice enough, I then inquired about the return policy in case they weren't comfortable. Now the older man who is the salesman decides it's time to help me. With horrible attitude and tone he blurts out "if you wear them you own them!" I then said I read on Foot Joy's website they give 90 days of customer satisfaction. His response "we don't take back worn shoes" with the same mean tone. I have worked in retail sales my whole life. Have you ever heard of over coming objections? The store was so big you could land two airplanes in there and zero customers in the entire store. You really don't want to make that sale right now? Completely insane , zero chance this place is still here a year from now. I just went online and bought them. Just put a nail in the coffin of big brick and mortar stores . Wow , just super disappointing.

Staff is unwelcoming and have no golf knowledge. Went in with the intent on buying some brand new irons and couldn’t even tell me what shaft options they had. He told me I was better off buying online. With someone looking to get new clubs I definitely recommend going somewhere else where the staff can help you get fit correctly.

Great experience with assist manager and club services. Cliff was really helpful regripping several clubs on the same day. They go extra mile and are pleased to help. Incredible golf store with everything you can imagine. Come check them out!

I went in the other day, and compared to the other store that just closed, it is a night and day difference. You will be impressed with the size of the store and selection of products. A major upgrade, so with that being said, if you are looking for anything golf in San Diego, this should be your 1st stop.

Club repair. Wanting to get a new shaft for my two iron and the person at the club repair counter was extremely helpful. Told me I didn't need a new shaft. He could just reshaft the one I had. I was ecstatic because I'm from out of town and there's not a club repair service in my town. So, I stayed an extra night in San Diego and picked the club up the next day. Picked up the club the next day which was a Friday and on Tuesday. Today I go to hit it for the first time and notice that shots are about 40 yd short of where they should be and then on the third shot the club head almost flies off.

Called the store and they refunded me what I paid to have it reshaft but doesn't change the fact that I spent an extra day in San Diego for a club repair that was done very very poorly. My advice, get your club fixed somewhere else

Was able to Demo a driver. They have a few trackman hitting bays. Cool to see all the launch monitor stats; I’ll probably do a fitting here
