The inventory spreadsheets take forever to load, and once you are in it is very slow to make changes. The spreadsheet view has this useful tool that allows you to create templates, but they don’t save so they are useless. There is so much information in the spreadsheet that it is difficult to find what you are looking for. I haven’t counted, but there is probably 30+ columns and your formatting is never saved. Searching is awful since it takes 10 seconds for my searches to query. I complained about this, and GL’s response was that my computer met the specifications, and it was something they were working on. I upgraded my computer from a 4th gen i5 to a Ryzen 3600. The processor was 5x faster according to PassMark. The spreadsheet view still takes forever.

The store credit feature is broken. I have been complaining about this for two years. If a customer uses store credit and cash, then the system reissues the store credit. What ends up happening is that the customer will always have store credit they can cash in on. It is simply ridiculous that this hasn’t been fixed.

The POS system regularly crashes. It is incredibly sensitive. I average about 1 crash per day. Sometimes I have it crash 5 or 6 times in a row. This happens on multiple different systems. GL is a buggy mess.

All of my item id’s begin with a “/”. This is something that I cannot change and was never set by me. Whenever I scan them into GL’s inventory management page to previously items nothing happens. It should act like scanning a barcode, i.e., it receives the information, performs a lookup, then transfers you to the page, but instead it just keeps you at the same page.

The company used to have excellent customer service, but they were bought by WorldPay and everything is becoming corporate.

I regularly use reports that do not work correctly. The one I use every day is “Detailed Sales by Department” which ironically does not show every Department’s total, so I must print out X-Reports for each register to find the missing data.

‘Was’ pricing does not work properly. My label formats that do not have ‘was’ pricing enabled have this format showing. This feature has not worked properly since I began working with GiftLogic. The sales rep told me it worked very well during the demo..

Be aware of the “bait and switch”. They absolutely will show you a working product during a demo, but they will intentionally omit all the bugs they are working through.

Words cannot describe how frustratingly slow the inventory spreadsheet view is. It is literally useless since it takes minutes for it to process a selection.

I am trying to make some changes and I was able to write this in between mouse clicks.

We decided to use GiftLogic as our POS software and it has been a great experience. The representative that helped us was Ashley, and she was very helpful and responsive. We had some on-boarding question and she was even willing to help on weekends.

The only real issue we had was installation, and connecting the first and second register. I would say this can be frustrating if you are not tech-savy. With that said, we got on the phone with Jeff and he was able to get us all setup and answered any question we had. 5 Stars, and thank you again Ashley and Jeff for setting us up 🙂

Software could use some updates,not as user friendly as we wish it could be, could have more custom settings available, it's a great POS ,but it is a frustrating POS in the same token.

The most frustrating point of sale software on the market, have tried to get support, apparently they don't Need any business, not one to complain about much really, but Brian, the lack of customer service and service is frustrating.
