Staff were extremely kind from the very beginning. It’s been years since I have been to Second City, actually high school was the last time. I was celebrating my birthday and it was joyful experience. The second half of the show I couldn’t stop laughing. Drinks are high priced, typical Chicago style. Tasty though, good job to our waitress she was hustling and getting all orders. Love the polite and hardworking staff.

Second City was very funny. The actual club is a little rundown, and the food is just ok, but the staff is friendly, and the show was great.

Thoughly enjoyed the experience. Went on the recommendation of someone that lived in Chicago as a place to go (as a tourist). Ended up going on the same day but as it was last minute, just as I was booking the ticket the opportunity to buy online had lapsed. The plus is that I headed to the box office and avoided the $5 booking fee but you will run the risk of not getting a ticket if it gets sold out.

Such a fun night! Great house management. Great performance by the actors. Great service by the waitstaff. The drinks were especially good. Will definitely return next time I’m in town!!!

I stopped by UP Comedy Club last night hoping to catch a good laugh in the City in a Garden. This comedy club is located in the Lakeview neighborhood, just a short walk from Wrigley Field where you can hear the roar of the friendly Cubs' crowd on game days.

As soon as I walked in the doors, I knew I was in for a hilarious time. The interior of UP Comedy Club has a classic Chicago comedy club feel - dim lighting, small round tables, and a good-sized stage where the comedians work their material. Our server was fast and friendly, bringing us pitchers of soda to enjoy during the show.

The lineup last night did not disappoint. Each comedian had a uniquely Chicago take on topics like our infamous winters in Chiberia, running for transit during a rainstorm, and trying to avoid the hustle and bustle of downtown traffic. My favorite act was Beth Stelling - she had me in stitches with her observational humor about dating in today's digital world.

With its great location near some of Chicago's best bars, approachable ticket prices, and consistently funny shows, UP Comedy Club is a top destination for a fun night out on the North Side. I'll be back again soon to soak up more laughter in the City that Works. Five stars from this comedy lover!
